Suggested story angles
- Student-built campus tech that has outgrown the official institutional app on review count and active use.
- What it takes to maintain an indie consumer app as a single developer alongside university.
- Public APIs in practice: live bus operator feeds and live laundry data turned into a daily-use student utility.
- The economics of a free student app funded entirely by local-business listings.
- Why a 135-acre campus needed a better map than the static PDFs on the intranet.
- Independent campus apps as a pattern across UK universities, not just Royal Holloway.
